How did you get started quilting?
My sister-in-law gave me a gift certificate for a quilt class. I did recently talk to my HS boyfriend that told me that he still had the quilt I made him 40 years ago!

More modern than anything else. Colorful and fun. My friends say I choose "happy" fabrics. I also like to make quilts that are more neutral.

All but appliqué, yet one of my favorite quilts is machine appliqué.
What tool or tools could you not live without and why?
Rotary cutter and rulers. They make the process more accurate.
What are your favorite materials to work with in terms of threads, fabrics, and batting?
I like batting with at least 80% cotton. Cotton thread.

I like to use different shapes and techniques
What were some turning points in your quilting process?
Prior to having my youngest, I made many contemporary wall hangings. I rarely ever made bed quilts. But the only way I could continue to quilt is if I was able to sew in short spurts. So I decided to work at one block at a time and make bed quilts.

No plans, just develop it as it comes.
